Well, as some of you might have noticed, this summer has been a little busy for me… hence the lack of blog posts over the last 8 weeks. But I am back to my routine now and expect to have lots to share with everyone this year.

I have a couple of pieces of news to share with you this post. Firstly, I’m sure a lot of people have noticed that NOBal Comp has been down a little longer than first expected… I apologize for this, as it’s been more difficult than we’d hoped to find a quality web hosting service, but I’m pleased to say that NOBal Comp is back online today and will remain so now, indefinitely. Our new web host MediaTemple, is significantly more capable than our previous host and so we shouldn’t be seeing any issues in regard to server load or over-using of resources. Access NOBal Comp now at the new, easier to remember address: nobal.webdiligence.ca

Secondly, we’re very excited to announce, that we are in the beginning processes of having Gnu External Ballistics Computer ported to the iPhone/iPod Touch with a NOBal Comp like feel. We have not yet set a completion date but once all the details have been worked out and coding has began I will be sure to update you all with a tentative development schedule. We’re quite committed to getting GEBC ported onto something ultra-portal like the iPhone/iPod Touch, so that there might finally be a desktop quality application that we can all take along with us shooting.
