NOBal Comp for iPhone

NOBal Comp stands for Nerdulator.net Online Ballistics Computer. It is a simpler, online implimentation of it’s big brother, GNU Exterior Ballistics Computer designed specifically for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Simply put, a ballistics computer is a projectile calculator… For shooting enthusiasts this means the ability to pre-determine how, where and at what speeds your bullets will fly, before you even open your gun safe.

The best part about NOBal Comp is that it runs right on your iPhone or iPod Touch so long as you have a data or Wi-Fi signal. If your range doesn’t offer Wi-Fi yet, now is great time to start bugging them about it.

Start using NOBal Comp now!

NOBal Comp is brought to you by Webdiligence.ca in collaboration with Nerdulator.net

Printing in iCal – Video Tutorial

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Welcome to the first Web Diligence video tutorial. This week we’re talking about printing in iCal. iCal has the ability to make some pretty attractive calendars, but unless you’re packing an iPhone or iPod Touch, having a digital calendar that resides only on your computer is probably of little value. So lets get started revealing a few of iCal’s hidden talents.

WWDC Tickets Sold Out… Sorta.

WWDC

As reported by Macworld journalist Jim Dalrymple, tickets for Apple’s 2008 World Wide Developers Conference are sold out for the first time in the history of the event. Within minutes of this article being posted, I hopped over to ebay to see what I could find and low and behold there is 1 ticket for sale with an opening bid of $500.00. I’m sure we’ll see more of these pop up in coming days/weeks as news of the sold out venue circulates. Good luck to the happy bidder, and drop me a line if you win it, I’m curious what the final bid will be.

The Big Xtra is dead, long live the Big Xtra!

Bix Xtra

If you live in Canada (called the Big n’ Tasty in US) and have not been to McDonalds in a week or two, you may be just as shocked as I was to find out that the Big Xtra has been taken off their menu. This is no joke, apparently the famed sandwich was a “limited time only” feature… limited to 4 and half years, if my math is correct.

I understand that the Angus burger has moved in and they needed space on their menu-boards, but whatever happened to ‘customer expectation’ and ‘brand loyalty’? I’m sure there are all kinds of studies showing how new, flashy menu items draw new, flashy customers… but what about the customers that kept them going til now? The ones that love their Big Xtra’s, with cheese, smothered in grease and McChicken sauce (that’s mayo for those who are unaware)? What about us?

I, for one, feel abandoned and betrayed… Left out to dry by another school-yard bully. McDonalds, if you’re listening, it’s the Hamburglar on line 1 and he wants his god-damned Big Xtra back!!
